The Rockwood School District is home to almost 21,000 students. Our premier school district is located in west St. Louis County and has a reputation founded on high student achievement, outstanding teachers and staff and great community support.

Geographically, Rockwood is the largest school district in St. Louis County and, in terms of enrollment, the second largest in the state of Missouri. The school district encompasses more than 150 square miles in parts of St. Louis and Jefferson counties, with 3.7 million square feet of building space on 700 acres of land.

Our mission of doing whatever it takes to ensure all students realize their potential is at the center of our work. In Rockwood, we want every child to succeed. The school district's 33 schools and supporting programs make up one of the highest performing school districts in the country.

Rockwood is a community where staff members help students prepare to be successful, productive and compassionate citizens.

"I often talk about the balance of the three A's - academics, arts and athletics," said Superintendent Dr. Mark Miles. "Our responsibility is to partner with students, parents and the community to foster meaningful and memorable experiences in these areas throughout Rockwood."
